Get to Know Us
Kindness and Intervention (KAI) is a home-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) provider created by Janae J. miller, who is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Her inspiration stems from her younger sister, Kai, who was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in 2014. After graduating in 2016 Cum Laude from Georgia State University with a BS in Neuroscience, Ms. Miller began working with children on the spectrum as an Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). Driven and determined, she searched for ways to help the Autism community which led her to Simmons University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2020, from the behavior analysis master’s program. After graduating she obtained her board certification. Along her journey, she realized the lack of African American representation in the field of ABA. She also recognized the importance of consistency across environments which make ABA strategies more effective. This prompted her to create KAI.
Our mission is to provide effective home and community-based ABA services to individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and other behavior disorders. KAI aims to make an impact on every individual we serve by using research-based behavior analysis strategies while simultaneously building a great rapport with families. We specialize in early intervention, ages 18 months to 12 years of age, but we also work adolescents ages 13 to 18. We are compliant with the Behavioral Analyst Certification Board compliance codes. We are currently a proud provider of Georgia Medicaid (CareSource, AmeriGroup, Peach State), Aetna, Cigna, BCBS, and TriCare.
